Port Hurricane Condition X-Ray – 48 Hour Alert (pdf) Monday, August 18, 2008
In accordance with National Hurricane Center Tropical Storm FAY Advisory #8 issued at 11:00 a.m. EDT on August 17, 2008. Tropical Storm FAY was located 350 miles southeast of Key West, Florida. Tropical Storm FAY is moving towards the west northeast at 13 mph and expected to turn northward on Monday. Due to the possibility of tropical storm force winds (35-43 MPH) entering South Florida within 48 hours, the Captain of the Port is ordering Port Hurricane Condition X-Ray for Port of Miami and Miami River.
